Reflections: 2012 in review

The time has come for some reflection, as the year draws to a close and a new one starts.

I'm going to post this on my blog, even though I've not done any personal posts for a while on this. It is a way for me to look back.

2012 for me, has been a year of many changes. Some good, some bad, but I can't complain much. I'm still alive and kicking, and not poor or in ill health, so all in all, the good had overweighed the bad.

On the last day of 2012, my company's closed so I get to enjoy some time at home while it rains outside. With my favorite music playing and a gentle breeze blowing through my windows as I type - I feel a kind of peace, which at this age I learnt is very rare. So I am savouring it.

Perhaps I might also attempt to list down some of the memorable moments of 2012 for me. Of these, the 3 with * are actually what I had set for myself as goals earlier this year... which I have accomplished.

1. My company and department celebrated my birthday for me. In a big way.

2. Appeared on TV with Bryan Wong in a variety show, because of my blog

3. Met my 3 favorite bloggers

4. Travelled to Sri Lanka in June with my 2 good friends, for an otherwise unusual holiday

5. Moved to Planning full-time

6. Got a typewriter *

7. Achieved my goal of saving a certain amount of money in my bank *

8. Got more food review invites which expanded my tastebuds' horizons

9. Signed up for 6 months of personal training and 1 year of gym

10. Dyed my hair red. Like finally, RED.

11. Participated in a colleague's wedding and made a wedding video for them

12. Got an iPad *

What I wish for 2013 - more travel, more money saved (I know, how to fit the 2), and most importantly, happiness.
