Cafe Bistro Bikes: Wheeler's Yard at 28 Lor Ampas Singapore 328781

Checked out an awesome bicycle garage & cafe last weekend. This place is probably the epitome of a HIPSTER CAFE. Why? Because there are bikes, coffee and cool stuff all around, in a garage in the middle of nowhere. It is really a hard core industrial area, but to my chagrin I found that quite a lot of friends and colleagues have already been there before (Facebook check-ins). Well it's my turn to check it out!

Walking in on a drizzly afternoon - you see a gigantic garage space.

Filled with bikes! Of all colours sizes and types.

And here's the interior! Isn't it really pretty? It has a lofty feeling.

I like the retro furniture.

And bikes on the tables. Renovations much have cost quite a fair bit!

And the food menu. When I posted about the food, people were surprised. Apparently the chef and kitchen service is only a week old. And the chef told us that they plan to expand the menu to full menu sometime soon because they finally got the restaurant license. Steaks and stuff!

Their coffee was passable. Not great.

This is the continental breakfast for $5.50 (fair price!). Again, really simple and no frills.

My brother had the Yard Chicken Burger ($11.90). Quite delicious he said, but he prefers McDonald's. I don't know what kind of statement is that. It looks pretty decent though.

My aglio olio pasta ($8.90) was ok too. No meat, just mushrooms, but plenty of garlic and olive oil.

Thinking of a cafe to go this weekend? Consider Wheeler's Yard, if not for the food/coffee but the great atmosphere. Bring a hipster magazine and read it with your hipster shades for maximum enjoyment!
