Event Report: Bellabox Blogger Showcase

I was invited by the kind folks from Bellabox to attend a blogger showcase two Fridays ago at Halo rooftop bar at Wangz Hotel at Outram. I actually didn't know what to expect, but it turned out quite fun, much like a beauty carnival!

There are 'stations' by beauty brands that you can visit to learn more about. Get ready to find out what are some of the hottest beauty brands that will hit our shores soon!

There was Aveda - specializing in hair treatments and aromatherapy. They use really natural and organic ingredients, if I am not wrong.

Visitors were given free neck massages with the therapists using their Blue oil which is peppermint and very calming. I was surprised at how relaxed I was after the massage!

There's also an Elizabeth Arden counter that was doing free makeovers on some visitors.

What was really cool about them is their latest range of eyeshadows which contain nourishing ingredients so it can be a 2-in-1 eyeshadow and eye care as well. That's really thoughtful. If you are slapping stuff onto your eyes, they might as well be good for you at the same time right?

The next one's really interesting - we get to sit down and make our own face scrub! In the photo in black is the founder of this new customizable skincare brand Pétronille.

Here are the ingredients. I thought it was a really fun way to engage with your audience.

So what I made was a combination of brown sugar, olive oil, 2 drops of tea tree oil and a tablespoon of cocoa powder. Each of them have their own properties such as exfoliating, moisturizing, calming for your face!

This is the Petronille star product that comes in a really innovative pump jar. You press down on the white lid and a small portion ejects onto the surface. You then add another serum/essence into this and mix, to get the perfect combination for your skin's needs.

Here are some of the products. The eye dropper serum is the one to be paired with the jar.

Here are some of the little jars of scrubs that was made. They are so cute!

During the event, we also got to make our own special edition Bellabox!

I've also squeezed in what I've got as freebies from the booths into the box. Here it is!

What's cool was the Savoir Faire lipstick that came in a magnetic case. There's also the OPI nude nail polish in mini size, and I've got a prevage cream from Elizabeth Arden.

I also got a full sized Petronille set. How can I ever put so many creams on my face?!?

This next product is super amazing. I can't believe I have not heard about it before, but Bioderma is set to engulf our city soon by their expansion into all drugstores. It is a miracle water, by all names.

Ok, actually it is a water-based makeup remover, but when the promoter tried it on my hand after applying liner, foundation, lipstick, all she had to do is to press the cotton pad on it and in one swipe EVERYTHING is gone.

It is that amazing. There is also no strong unpleasant smell, and my skin is very soft after that. She mentioned I don't even have to follow up with cleanser after that because this in itself is a cleanser water! Wow!

Also received a full sized Elizabeth Arden eyeshadow from their newest range. Smells good, in fact. It's a very neutral shade that is perfect for highlighting or light make up.

This is the Savoir Faire lippie! Unfortunately the shade is not exactly what I would like, but the package is way cool.

Lastly the samples of Caudalie. Actually I would have loved to do a giveaway, but I have simply no time to mail or do meet ups now!

Thanks to Bellabox for the lovely invite and generosity! I can't wait for my October Bellabox to arrive now!
