Brunch Review: Artisan Boulangerie Co. at 118 Kiliney Road, Singapore 239555

I think I might have found my favorite brunch place of 2014. I visited Artisan Boulangerie Co. at Kiliney Road last Sunday after having it in my bookmarks for ages and had such a great time I have been raving about the place to everyone else - and I am thinking of going back there again today because I simply miss their food!

I've seen it around at Great World, and there's a tiny outlet at The Metropolis at Buona Vista, but ABC simply did not register with me until the Kiliney branch visit. If you want the full experience, go to the Kiliney one because.. I'll let the photos do the talking.

This is the what you see upon entry. I love the tiles, blue accents and wooden tables.

And then, a giant huge ass counter full of pastries and more pastries!

Is this simply not insanely appetizing?

All sorts of croissants, swirls, puff pastries and ahhhhhhh.

So there's this intriguing Lyon Swirl, which I know from a fact did not really come from Lyon because I checked with a native from that region, who was joining us for brunch that day.

Here's the inner sitting area. Big airy space! I love it.

And here's the menu. Everything simply looks so great. I want all of them. Right now.

This is what I ordered. The beef bourguignon pie, and a sun-dried tomato quiche. It was around 20 bucks for these, and a pot of Gryphon breakfast tea.

May I rave about the quiche? It is probably ONE OF THE BEST I'VE HAD IN MY LIFE.

Yeap. It's just really good. I'm not doing a review here, I'm doing a rave.

The beef bourguignon pie too was out of this world good. I would have liked if it was maybe a few degrees warmer - it was served just slightly warmed, but the filling inside was really gorgeous with the beef and the potatoes and the crust was light and flaky and just enough to be a perfect little bowl.

The chicken pie was also delightful - though we both agreed that the beef was better.

And the eggs ben by another of my friend looks like this. Great too, and he said the ham was the best ham he had ever had. OK! A lot of best-in-life things going on at that table!

The salmon with cream, capers and onion was probably the least impressive, but still, this is what it looks like. Very simple and fresh.

Ending this rave with the ABC Breakfast set ($18.50). It came with a basket of mini warm bread served with jam and butter (:O How french is that?).

And the platter. Looks amazing if you are craving for eggs, mushrooms, bacon and salad.

For me though, I've had enough of these combinations for a while -- I felt that the quiche + pie combination was more winning and satisfactory for me that day. I really want to go back and try the rest of their pastries.

Need I say more? Why aren't you booking a cab and heading there now? The best bakery in Singapore awaits!
