Cocktails are like food, but in a glass. That's why I love it because I get to taste what's inside. I am so pleased to find that for the first time in history, there is a Singapore Cocktail Week dedicated to these fabulous cocktails by renowned mixologists and bartenders. From now till 14 March, you get to enjoy 5 lower-priced drinks ($14++ each) at 30 participating bars if you purchase a ticket for $38 dollars (at any of the bars or online). There's are also workshops and tours you could sign up for for a fee, so imagine learning how to mix your very own drink (not just pouring two things into a cup). Courtesy of FIJI Water and FoodNews PR, I was invited to their launch party at Tanjong Beach Club and had a blast! I just came back from my China Xi An holiday that very morning after a red eye flight, so I had a nap first before going to my favorite hairdresser's to get my hair cut and pampered, and blown out into waves (Instapic here)! Then, neon nails (Instapic here), for the beach party.
I really enjoyed myself at the launch event, and can't wait to taste more of what Singapore Cocktail Week has to offer. Don't miss out on this one-time opportunity, get your tix and info now at www.singaporecocktailweek.com.sg and follow them on Facebook for more updates.

We enjoyed some Monkey's Shoulder first...
Here's me and my lovely friend. All ready to enjoy the sunset!
Speaking of that, there's also finger food available. Goes well with drinks.
There were 11 special cocktails available at $10 each during the party. We tried No. 5 and 6.
Here's Jeremie from Jekyll & Hyde making a Sicilian Sunshine. It was really yummy! The tangy blood orange mixed very well with the yogurt and alcohol.
The Nonya Crack by Hopscotch was also fantastic. It was, like my friend described aptly, "Baileys but more fragrant and less sweet", because it had coconut liqueur, pandan and milk! So ingenious when local ingredients are used.
