I wouldn't have learnt all that about Quandoo Singapore (Quando means "when" in Spanish/Portugese/Latin) if I did not go on a Food Trail with them to 4 different Quandoo partners. Also, one of you guys will stand a chance to win a $100 dining voucher courtesy of Quandoo if you click on the customized links in this blog post to reserve at any of the 4 restaurants/bars I'll mention below before 30th June 2016.
I did a vlog of our tour which you can check out here:
Our first stop: The relatively new kid on the block, Kite on 53 Craig Road, which took over the Straits Wine Company shop beside The Plain. We sampled some of their light bites like the gorgeous watermelon salad, and pork crackling. We also had cocktails, which Kite is supposedly good at too! I'll be back to try out more.

Our second stop was just a short walk away, at L'Entrecote Wine Bar. Instead of dining in L'Entrecote The Steak and Fries Bistro with their famous steak frites, the wine bar is an offshoot of it just beside where we enjoyed alternative menu items not available there - including melting cheese in a small pan called the Raclette Deluxe (S$29), with cold cuts for S$37, as well as a beautiful Fondue Vigneronne (S$59.90) which had 350g beef striploin, french fries and salad. The star of that stop was the Tartiflette (S$39), or simply the potato gratin. It's just so well made, and delicious to keep eating! We also had the Seafood Pierrade ($46) to put on top of the grill after the raclette, which was fun and delicious.

Our third stop: Feeling rather stuffed, we travelled in style with Kombi vans sponsored by Kombi Rocks to head to daytime-coffeeshop, nighttime bar and restaurant Bincho at Tiong Bahru for some Mentai chicken wings (S$15 for 2), which were delicious. It's a good thing we didn't have more food, since we probably couldn't eat any much more! Bincho is a little hidden hole in the wall that you should definitely reserve in advance since seating is limited.

At our fourth and last stop: We went to Sum Yi Tai at 25 Boon Tat Street (which I previously reviewed) to round off the night with some creative cocktails at their rooftop bar. The Chinese Mojito (S$21) is one of my favorites there as it is made with chrysanthemum rum. We also tried the 1980s Nostalgia (S$21) with whisky and frangelico, Midnight Snack (S$25) with whisky and grand marnier, Dai Lou (S$28) with bourbon and elderflower liquer, Date a Gangster (S$21) with whisky and drambuie liquer and Golden Dragon (S$19) with gin and lemon foam. To be really honest, I think the cocktails at Sum Yi Tai are a tad too sweet and gimmicky for my liking, so I'll suggest for you to stick to non-cocktails and enjoy the ambiance of the roof top.

We had a blast though! It's funny how everyone was helping each other with lighting and the photography as we went along the tour. Thanks to Quandoo Singapore and PR Bespoke for organising the Food Trail. Remember to reserve with one of the four restaurants to win!
