Straight away I'll say that while the Thai pig trotters (S$5 with egg and rice) were sufficiently delicious enough to satisfy my craving, the Thai wanton noodles (S$3.50-$5) was the one that surprised me. I loved the texture of the noodles and the ability to customize with with the combination of green chilli, fish sauce, sugar and most importantly, the chilli flakes. They were fiery hot and completely transformed the simple oil base to the perfect canvas for your own taste. 4/5
The pork trotters were delicious. A very satisfying dish for under $5. Rather similar to the one in Beer Thai, though I'd say this one seems a little more refined compared to the other. 4/5
Here's the stall, in the coffeeshop that's along 7030 AMK Ave 5, situated right at the side of the industrial park Northstar@AMK (accessible with bus 88 and 74). When I interviewed the chef and co-owner of the stall, Patrick, he mentioned that they had wanted to keep the stall's menu simple and do them well instead of having a dozen other Thai dishes. I thought that was a bold and commendable move.
I would recommend anyone who lives or work around the area of Ang Mo Kio and Buangkok to check out this place for lunch or even a simple dinner. Apparently the seafood zichar and crab beehoon in that same coffeeshop enjoys quite a lot of footfall in the evenings as well.
