Korean BBQ: Jeju House 제주집 [CLOSED] at Havelock II, Singapore 059763

EDIT June 2020: Both Daejon House and Jeju House are permanently closed.

Went for tasting at the new Jeju House, beside Daejon House, at Havelock II recently and really enjoyed myself! Have a look at the vlog here:

The restaurant is in the corner of the first floor of the rather empty Havelock II mall, which is perfect because you won't smell like BBQ after eating.

It is situated beside the more famous Daejon House, which serves army and beef stew.

Set menu and the prices! Really fair and affordable for having US-imported black pork. There's beef option as well if you like.

Here are some add-ons if you want more sides.

The drinks menu, notice the Jeju Island Soju! We tried that later, and it was so smooth and sweet (but not literally). Very light too, perfect to balance out with the BBQ.

The side dishes were really generous - and quite value for money since it comes with any BBQ set!

The black pork collar is on the top right, followed by two slabs of black pork belly. Look at how fresh they are!

The seafood stew by the way, was super spicy and peppery but in a very satisfying manner. Goes really well with alcohol. There's also some steamed egg.

Different cuts of the pork on the 100% charcoal grill. This is very expensive to maintain but you could really taste the difference in the meat.

Would you see that marbling?

It looked as if the soul is being sucked up...

The Jeju Soju was delicious.

It was such an enjoyment to just have some sizzling meat and drinks with friends and laughter!

Some fresh Hoegaarden beer ($13 per pint) is also available, on tap!

If you couldn't already tell, I've fallen in love with Jeju House. I'm definitely going to be back, and more than once!
