Recipe: Awesome Mushroom Soup with Tefal Blendforce Glass

Did you know that blenders are used for making soup?

I didn't know that! :O

That shows how much of a cooking noob I am. I thought blenders are only good for smoothies, actually. Turns out I was wrong - the soup that I love the most when I visit restaurants (after pumpkin soup) is mushroom soup, and I often have to shell out at least $6 and above for a small bowl.

When all you need to do is to buy the ingredients, cook it for a bit, and combine all of them in a blender. Easy!

So I'm gonna show you how to make Awesome Mushroom Soup today so you can make this and bring to your next potluck dinner and impress everyone with it.

Here are the ingredients you need:

Tefal Blendforce Glass (or any other blender)
3.5 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
1 cup chicken broth or water (depending on how salty you want it to be)
1/3 cup chopped onion
1/8 teaspoon dried thyme
2 tablespoons butter
2/3 cup of cream and milk (essentially half and half)
Salt and pepper to taste

Using a heavy saucepan, sauteed the mushrooms, onion and thyme along with the butter.

Next, add chicken broth and water and boil the ingredients for 20 minutes.

Wait for the ingredients to cool a little. Set aside some mushrooms if you like chunks in your soup later!

Add milk and cream into the saucepan.

Scoop all of it into your Blendforce Glass.

Remember to pulse 3 times before blending it for less than 3 minutes! If you like chunky bits you can blend less.

Serve, and add salt and pepper to taste with a drop of truffle oil and some thyme.

And there you have it! The Tefal Blendforce Glass Awesome Mushroom Soup!

It tasted really good. If you try it, you will know it.

All these would not have been possible without my sister, Felicia, whose guidance and expertise helped. I am just really impressed that you can make amazing things with a blender.

Thanks also to Tefal and OMY.SG for sponsoring the blender which allowed me to go on the journey to create amazing food!
