Foodie Alert: Malaysia Boleh! Food Court at B2 AMK Hub, Singapore 569933

It was something of a surprise for me to learn that an entire food court has appeared in the mall I grew up with - AMK Hub. Opened by the Fei Siong Group (the other one is in Jurong Point), this Malaysia Boleh! food court beside NTUC Fairprice Xtra was surprising 'authentic', with none of the Singaporean stalls mixing into the bunch. I wanted to share this news with everyone on this blog because I think its definitely worth checking out if you are around the area (and bored of the Western food or mala at S-11 nearby).

It was definitely packed on a Saturday 4pm but there are still seats available - and ventilation was also surprisingly decent.

Walking around, there are many many stalls to choose from (list of them on their website).

I finally settled for Chilly Pan Mee because I loved it when I went to KL!

The Chilly Pan Mee (S$4) looked rather anaemic when I got it with the pale ban mian and minced meat with mushrooms and ikan bilis, but once I mixed in the egg and chilly, it was a different story.

It was really delicious - the noodles were really smooth and soft without being soggy and the chilly had a nice kick to it without being killer on my tastebuds. The mushrooms were just the right amount of braise, and the ikan bilis crunchy.

O utside of the Malaysia Boleh! food court at the same AMK Hub basement 2, I also spied 3 notable new stalls - Eng's Wantan Noodles of Katong fame, Qiji (not pictured) as well as Jian Bo chwee kueh. I got Eng's delivered before to my house even before seeing the stall - I think it is best to have it fresh.

I'll try this soon - looks good!

I am liking the even more food options available at AMK Hub now that these stalls are open!
Be sure to check them out.
